Certificate Course in Enabling Employee Well-being and Resilience
Course Description:
This course aims to deepen participants’ understanding of workplace well-being and employee resilience and how these can be enhanced in their organizations through well-being strategies and culture-building initiatives. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to facilitate a resilience program.
Course Objectives:
As a result of the certificate course, the participants would be able to:
- Describe dispositional and contextual factors that shape employee well-being
- Identify common employee stressors and stress management strategies to help mitigate these
- Discuss strategies to protect employee well-being during crises, disruptions, and adversities
- Facilitate a resilience intervention (disasters, pandemic, or job loss)
- Apply the CREATE framework in building a culture of well-being in work organizations
Course Outline:
Module 1: Well-Being
- This module describes well-being and highlights the importance of well-being in the workplace. It also discusses the different factors and contexts that shape employee well-being.
Module 2: Stress
- This module provides understanding of stress, as well as discusses the stressors employees encounter in the workplace. At the same time, it also discusses stress management strategies that mitigate the effects of stress.
Module 3: Resilience
- This module introduces the participants to the adversities and disruptions that affect employee well-being, and how enhancing one’s resilience can manage these.
Module 4: Run the Katatagan Resilience Program
- In this module, participants are given the opportunity to participate in and facilitate modules of the Katatagan Resilience Program. Participants are joined by coaches who will provide them valuable feedback that will hone their facilitation of the program.
Module 5: CREATE
- This module introduces participants to Ateneo CORD’s CREATE framework. This framework aims to help them in fostering a culture that supports well-being initiatives in order to build more resilient organizations.

- Tuesday, Friday; 8:30 AM – 12:00 NN.
Target Participants:
- HR/OD practitioners/leaders/supervisors interested in developing strategies to enhance well-being and resilience in the workplace
Participant Requirements:
- Participants shall sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and Data Privacy Form
Technical requirements:
- A computer installed with Zoom
- Stable internet connection for live or synchronous sessions
Equivalency:
- No. of learning hours for an online program: 24 Hours
- Equivalent no. of days for the face-to-face program: 3 Days
